About me

About 13 years ago we moved into a house with a shed at the end of the garden and over the years this has become my studio. I have always loved painting the human form especially when it's in motion - which is why dancers have such an appeal. And there is also a pull to paint 'places' - basically memories of places and how they made me feel.

In these more abstract pieces I'm trying to convey a sense of time and place as well as a sense that people have moved through it. I think that's why they can sometimes have multiple layers and can change drastically from one session to the next!

I feel very lucky to have this space and it has definitely become one of my happy places.
