My work is about people, places and memories. I like to capture movement and I'm captivated by dancers. The way they move, their relationship to the music and the space they occupy is something I love. Often I get ideas for a painting when I'm walking and it feels to me that when I paint these I'm trying to capture a moment. But sometimes I just paint what feels like the memory of a place; the weather, the mood and the way it made me feel and if that feeling is passed to someone else through the piece it's the best feeling in the world.
